Back when I was in college, in my marketing classes we would talk about the concept of affordable luxuries. Basically it's just something that you splurge a little bit on. I believe that is the very basic idea, it may not be exact (it's been a while since I was in marketing classes). It also can be defined in a couple different ways (so let's just go with what I said above :P )
A Couple Examples:
Like maybe you treat yourself to Starbucks coffee before work instead of just making coffee at home. You're splurging a little tiny bit and feeling like you are treating yourself, but you're not spending a ton of money. Or maybe instead of splurging on a trip to a spa, you buy bubble bath and candles to create a luxurious vibe at home for way less.
It's just something your treat yourself to without breaking the bank.
So what would you consider your 'affordable luxuries'? (or those of your family)

My affordable luxury is my bowling league. Even though sometimes I could use that 20 bucks a week for other things, bowling is my once a week get out of the house by myself time. My wife calls it my boys night out because the rest of the week I am either with her or with her and my teenage daughter. I need that break from the women LOL
