I'm thinking about getting "The Pursuit of Happyness" book. I loved the movie, so I'm really interested in this book. I was wondering if anyone here has read it and if they liked it.

Hi pigglies! I didn't know that there is a book version of this one. I will look for it as I have the habit of buying book versions of the movies that I like because most of the time I like the book better because it is more detailed. I hope to find the book soon and be inspired once again. Again thanks for sharing.

I did end up getting the book and I'm about half way through it. It is definitely more detailed and not as G rated as the movie. But very very good. I'd highly recommend it on audio as the presentation is great.

I have not seen the book myself but if I bump into it I would surely love to read it. It's truly inspirational how Chris Gardner went from down there below and springing up to success. When I got the dvd I watched the interview with Chris and I was impressed even more to know he was present all along during the making of the movie and even helped Will Smith in answering the test. Anyway, I might look for the title in my local libraby and if I find it I will take my time to read it.

You are so lucky to have a library with such recent books available. Our library only has classics, which means basically, they have next to nothing that I actually want to read. Books are a huge expense for me, even more so because I usually read audiobooks instead to save myself a headache and huge amounts of time.

Our library is so small and doesn't have anything. I read so many books now that when I move, I'll probably look to see where the library is and consider that in my moving decisions. Of course, where the school I get into is will be more important, but it would be nice to live next to a library.

Yea, it's really exciting to find a huge public library here in the city center and there's another one a smaller at the back of our house. I have never tried audio books but I might try soon as I'm interested. And yes, you're right they save time.

I would definitely recommend watching the movie, it was probably the best movie I saw that year.
