House values are plummeting, food and gas prices are rising, the unemployment rate is up and no one in power can agree on how to make things better. What do you think? How can we make it better?

I think the American Dream is still alive, it's just a bit harder for the moment. Thinks will pick up sooner or later.

I don't think that we can make it better.. We have elected officials who are supposed to make it better for us, but they can't agree on anything and are so busy lining their own pockets that they have no time to worry about us.. I don't think that things are going to get any better, no matter who gets elected into office.. Prices are going sky high and after you have to pay as much as we do for gas, then there is nothing much left over to do anything else.. So many people have lost their homes and many more will before it is over.. but no one cares.. I wish the future looked brighter but I don't think that it will.. Sad, isn't it for a country as rich as ours having people without health care, and no means to pay for the high cost of gas and groceries and our government officials handing money out to other countries right and left.. That is a sorry state for our country to be going through..

Well they can make it better by either freezing the prices so they can't go higher or lowering the prices but most are only after the mega buck and don't care about the consequences of their actions are causing by keeping things raised so high.

It doesn't sound too good, so I know what you mean. But we have been promised life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, so I think we should never, ever give up our dreams. Just keep on and have faith and live a good, honest life. I'd be interested in reading what others have to say, so I hope you get lots of responses.
