Making money with your photos

I have been taking pictures now with my digital camera(Nikon D40 with 18/55mmlens and a 55/200m lens) for 1 year now. I've sold one photo that was selected out of potofilio. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to get my photos into the margket and get more sold. I've purchased the 2007 Photographer's Market book, but it is very time consumeing to read and find who takes freelance photos. Anyone know of any easier ways to post and sale pictures. I would like to do more freelance work and make some good money at it. I've built a web site www.altruisticphotos.9f.com and have joined flickr.com user name ssweet2323 and have posted alot of photos there along with my web site, so for now calls on work.
