Have you ever found a song catchy without really understanding what it was about

Recently, I was driving in the car and I heard a song playing which was familiar to me. I started singing, "but I won't do that" and then realized I had no idea what the song was talking about. Wouldn't do what? They do not explain as far as I know. My wife, also, would listen to a song. "With my mouth, I can sing you, another brick, that I laid." What's that mean? I do not know. It is a catchy enough song but I can't understand what they are talking about. Does anyone else find themselves somewhat irritated by singing along to a nonsense song?

I have often wondered what exactly it is that Meatloaf won't do for love.

That was exactly what I was thinking, when I read the post. It has to be Meatloaf. I think there's two parts of the song--the girl part and the boy part. The woman sings one part of the song, asking him if he will do this or that for her. And then he says, "I would do anything for love, but I won't do that!" I wonder if he meant, take out the trash! Honestly, it's the only thing my man will do around the house, other than scoop cat litter. That's all his.

"Something good is gonna happen" this is a song I didn't understand one bit of, until I searched for it on the net..very catchy, I still play it almost daily.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ( Oooh I, Oooh I, Oooh I, Oooh Iiiee Oooooh I just know that something good is gonna happen Ooooooh Iiiiee Oooooh I just know that something good is gonna happen Ooooh Iiiieee ) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I guess I'll have to find that ditty somewhere, I do not think I remember it from just the lyrics.
That is a good question. Maybe this is one of the reasons Meatloaf is an icon. However there are other songs that do this. Like a tune you know the melody but not the words.
I feel that exact way when I'm listening to Soulja Boy's Crank That. The song really makes me laugh, but I have no idea what he's trying to say. The lyrics are so vague, but catchy at the same time. I don't mind listening to vague or strange songs because it's funny to try and figure them out.
