Question about what these stars and numbers mean

Hey guys! I am new to myLot and just started up today. I have a question or 2. What are the stars above certain people's screen names with a # in them? Also what do the #'s in parenthesis mean that are under a person's screen name? I noticed that under my screen name it says (26) I believe. I don't have a star with a number in it but I'm assuming that's some sort of ranking. I was just interested to see what this means.

I have no idea! I earned the colored star when I reached 100 posts which was shown in the parenthesis.
I think the first response was correct. But, I guess these are just some indicator... not a way of judging people's worth.

im new also. and was wondering about the same things. plus, i wonder how people get their profile pic up. im having a bit of trouble with understanding the whole site.
