For the most part, women take longer shopping. Maybe because they can't make up their minds, or maybe because they are easily distracted by everything they see.
Men, generally, go in knowing what they want, find it, get out.
But, there are always exceptions, some men are like the women and some women shop like men :)

I don't think gender is the biggest factor in the time spent shopping. I think it all depends on the individual. I am a female and I absolutely detest shopping. I walk in, grab what I need, and go. I know lots of females AND males who love shopping and spend lots of time browsing and such...and others who are like me and don't like it.

of course it is women. Atleast in my place in south india it is so. That is because they take a long time to decide and they have a wide variety to choose from. And they want it to be the best so as to show it off to their friends. So it takes a long time for them to shop.

I am a woman and I love things! I like buying things, but I absolutely hate shopping! I just know what I want and I get that. If I can get it online, even better. I am just not for browsing and comparing prices. My life is way too busy for that. My girlfriends have pissed me off on more than one occassion by asking if I want to go window shopping! So not me!
