Have you ever stuck yourself with a fork or knife while cooking?

Have you ever accidentally stuck your hand with a fork or knife while chopping or cooking? Tonight, I was making baked potatoes in the microwave. So I got out a fork and was piercing the potato skin and almost skewered my hand, instead! I was so lucky, when the fork slipped it missed my hand. But I've been careless with a knife in the kitchen and gotten distracted while chopping fruit and sliced myself instead. That really hurt!

I cut myself with knives all the time, but once I actually stabbed myself with the point of a sharp knife. I just punctured my hand with it.

It was not really that bad once I got the bleeding to stop.

Ok, I have to admit, I have stuck myself with a fork while piercing potatoes. Cutting vegetables, always! I have to make sure to have sharp knives so I get a good clean cut!

I've heard there's less chance of slipping with a sharp knife because you don't have to bear down so hard. Maybe it's a good thing to keep them sharper!

Yes, I have done that enough times. Cutting something and by mistake nick myself; worst than a paper cut. And for some reason or another it takes a while for them to heal too. So I know what that is like. Even when you try to be careful it still can happen. Then don't let something distract you; a finger could be lost. Have a nice one.

Yep several times, nothing really serious but it did hurt, just small nicks. but one time I steamburned' my hand when taking a baked potato's wrap;ping off from the microwave.that was really really scream time hop up and down hurting time. I ran cold water over the burn and I did avoid a blister that way. but it was ouch time for sure.
