Cellphone inside the church...

Do you bring along your celfone in the church or place of worship? We all know how important this gadget in our day to day life. No celfone means losing our contacts to the world. I left my celfone in the car every time we go to the church or just switch it off. I've seen some parishioners texting while hearing the mass and somehow this irked me a little. some lost their respect to the place of worship and so insensitive with the stares from others and still continue doing their celfone stuff. I nearly feel the urge to snatch his celfone and throw it away, good thing i remember i was inside the church.
If this happens to you, are you going to talk to that person or just don't mind it? I still remember the gospel last Sunday why St. John the Baptist killed, because he told the King that what he is doing is wrong.

I usually turn off my cellphone when I'm inside the church or if I'm expecting an important call, I switch it to silent mode and received the call outside the church. Sometimes going to church had become a habit or what we say a weekend activity. We forget the foremost reason why in the first place we go to church. Right now I'm feeling a little bit of guilty also of this unethical thing because I think nothing should go first when you are in the church, even how important that call, GOD should always be the center of your attention and concentration while in the church (and even outside the church).

Well said here tholitz, attending a mass lasts for only an hour and it won't be a great loss if we don't pay attention to calls or messages from our celfone. An emergency one is exception to the rule but it doesn't happen all the time. There are time for everything, and this one is for God.

i have my cellphone wherever i go and if i am in the church i also bring along the phone but i make it a point that is being silence as per instructed also by the pastor...i willjust then chek the masge after church...but still if someone calls and it seems to be very urgent i wont miss the call..that actually happened to me not just once...
