Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross are getting Married

If you visited Philadelphia in the recent years you may have seen Ben Franklin strolling the streets nearby Independence Hall. Betsy isn't as visible although she has been spotted in some of the parades.
Ben Franklin impersonated by Ralph Archbold and Betsy Ross impersonated by Linda Wilde are getting married in real life.
They met when Linda hired him for a friends wedding. Later Ralph asked her if she could put together an outfit to portray Betsy Ross.
The rest is ... history :)

Is that what that announcement on FoxNews (channel 29) was about? All I could think was that it was a publicity gag, which is silly if they're promoting history since that never happened. Now it makes sense - they're not pretending the originals got married - it's the impersonators who are REALLY marrying, but in character. Very cool. I like that better than my original assumption. I rarely watch news, but my mother likes theirs at 10PM, so I could hear it.

and they are still together! Philadelphia is a great place to visit. There is so much history and there have been famous movies like Rocky and National Treasure filmed there. The Duck tour is wonderful. I highly reccommend it.
