listen to the same song for several hours or even the whole day?!

While I was posting on mylot tonight, I listen to the song There you'll be again and again. It's the theme song of the movie Pearl Harbor. I just watched this movie completely tonight and would like to listen to this song again. Actually I think I always do this kind of thing. When I am in love with a song, I can keep playing it for several hours or even keep listening to this same song for several days. The last song I keep listening was Ryan Star's Last Train Home from the OST of P.S. I Love You.
Anyone here has the same habit as I do? I do appreciate that you share your opinions with us all.

It has happened to me .. the songs keep changing from time to time though .. the few recent ones are 'Hotel Californa', 'Stairway to heaven', 'November Rain', 'Dream On', 'Knockin On Heaven's Door', 'Babe' , 'Paint It Black', 'Bohemian Rhapsody' ...
Point being i totally know what ure talkin about ... lol.

I wont deny that .. music fuels me :) .. Besides, i think everyone is a great music fan .. people might listen to the same thing .. whts music for me might not be music for someone else, but yeh .. everyone has a special place for the music they like in their hearts ;)

I can relate, Chrissieatu. I like that song too and it's one of my most favorite soundtracks. I also like "How can I not love you" from the movie Anna and the King. I know if you got carried away by the movie, you'd love to listen to the soundtrack over and over again.
Sometimes I listen to the same cd the whole day too. Recently, I just downloaded Beethoven's Choral Fantasia and I could listen to it all day and all night but my boyfriend will complain heheh.

Exactly! When the music match the film perfectly, I am hooked by the music afterwards. I will listened to it for a really long time. Thank you for mentioning those songs. Because these days, I am trying to find some great English songs to listen to.

I like those two kind of songs too. I am not a huge fan of rock. But as long as I like the song, I can be quite crazy about it.

Yeah, I dont know if your familler with the music of Evanescence but I have often listend to some of their stuff over again, like their song 'My Imortal' that was used on the Daredevil film.

Well I am not that familiar with Evanescence. Even though I learn English, I am not that fascinate with English songs which I don't know why. However, when I meet some great one, I will listen to them for a while. Maybe you can recommend more to me

I down My Imortal that night. Her voice is really amazing. It won't be that exciting but it is just beyond my description. I enjoy this kind of music and voice. About hip hop, yes it can be great to me. But I won't find them on purpose. I just come across them from time to time, just like the other English song.

Yeah, Evanescence have a kinda sound which I think is unique because of the lead vocale- Amy Lees voice is so great and pure- would be a good description that I found myself listning to a certain part of one of her songs over again where i found the vocales truly amazing. I would reccomend them! When Beutiful Lier by Beyonce and Sharkira came out I think I listened to that about a dozen times. I think hip-hop can be really addictive if it has a good vibe.

Me too~ i remember listening to Ne-yo's so sick for the whole day last time. its a really good song. I am still listening to it even now.. LOL. There are some songs i keep listening to it over and over again like Chris Brown's with you, Ne-yo's go on girl, Usher's moving mountain, Craig David's officially yours.. Basically, if the song has a very catchy melody, i would probably be listening to it over and over again..

Yes it will be boring for some to listen to the same song again and again. But I just can do this. Sometimes I feel it strange too. Meanwhile I quite enjoy the pleasure.

yes i do this as well.
yesterday it was alkaline trio's "radio" but today i'm liking a song from a local band named mayonnaise. the song is entitled "sinungaling" (liar). really great song. the lyrics are intelligent and the music is definitely catchy. can't say the same for the music video but the girl in the video is very hot.

My song hasn't changed yet. I am still listening to There you'll be. Sometimes i do like the lyrics more than the music. And sometimes a great song doesn't mean a great MV either

Well I can understand that. My sisters and I do that thing from time to time. We used our old CD player to play some of the old CDs of the same singer. I am listening to usher these days too.

I dont listen a song repeatedly, I usually turn on my laptop and listen my favorite music save on my laptop while Im doing something I dont love music too much but everytime I study my lesson i use to hear a music it helps me to study better and retain what i have studied.Music while studying really helps me alot?how about you...did you expirience the same way.

Well that doesn't happened to me. When I am trying to study, I can't listen to the music. Because then I can't concentrate. It would just make it less efficient. Thus I am kind of admire you that you can do these 2 things at the same time and music does help you too.

I made a list of Songs as a Playlist. I listen to these songs at most of the Time. I listen the songs again and again and I even have these songs in my Car. Some feelings can be developed by Music. May this is what called Music Therapy.

You got me. Some feelings is developed while listening to those songs, especially when I pay attention to the lyrics. Actually, I always enjoy the lyrics while listening to the songs. It gives me some kind of echo.

I definitely do this! Particular songs that I just enjoy or haven't heard in a long time I will just set my media player to repeat and listen to them again and again. Sometimes it's only a few times but I've been known to listen to the same thing for hours - much to the irritation of everyone else!

That's true. While we are indulging ourselves in a song, it can be irritating to others. Thus sometimes I think this habit may be a little strange. Anyway, it's a kind of pleasure to me.

I love movie scores. A lot of them are just so amazing. I like songs with lyrics and guitars and stuff, but to me that doesn't compare to a full orchestra. I'm addicted to the song 'Thunderbird' by Hans Zimmer. I don't know how many times I've listened to that. Another song I've been listening to a lot lately is 'Where'd You Go' by Fort Minor.

I was obsessed with 'There You'll Be' for SO long! It's a great song. Yeah, I do do that. Once I decide I like a song that's new to me, i'll listen to it over and over and over again. Sometimes it's the only song i'll listen to for days on end. The most recent song I did that with is 'Rock n Roll' by Remi Nicole. Before that it was 'Low' by Flo-Rida, and before that it was 'Wow' by Kylie Minogue.

Indeed, the melody is great, the lyrics are wonderful and most importantly, it matches the film perfectly! It's such a great great theme song. I can feel the same way. When I am in love with a song. It's the only song that I would like to listen for the next few days. Thank you for mentioning those songs to me. I have some new collections then.

Once I listened to the same 30 seconds of the same song for about six hours. Needless to say, I was bored. I do listen to the same full songs over and over, now and then.

Wow that's amazing to me. I have never listened to a fragment of a song for that long. I can't stand it and just prefer the whole version.
