Better Character: David Fisher (Six Feet Under) or Dexter Morgan (Dexter)

I'm a huge fan of both shows, even though Six Feet Under was always usually pretty depressing, it was always quirky and different enough to keep your attention, and keep your brain moving. But Dexter, which is now on CBS (edited, so it's not as interesting) and regularly on Showtime, is the crem de la crem and I'm spelling that all wrong probably. The show is based on novels by Jeff Lindsey, I'm almost done with the first one, it pretty much reads just as it is in the show, although there is one major difference in the season one and the first book. But I won't let that one out. If you haven't seen Dexter yet, watch it, you'll be hooked for life. Or however long it lasts which is hopefully forever.

NIce choices! Six Feet Under will always be one of my favorite TV shows. So naturally I choose David Fisher. I liked his sarcasm and quirkiness. Dexter is pretty funny too, but I don't think he quite compares to the character David. Plus I like David's passion for making things right. I guess David and Dexter aren't that different if you think about it, lol.

Here's something we have in common, Callie! LOL I love the series, Dexter. I stopped watching Six Feet Under after about the second season. It kind of lost my interest. And then when I tried to pick it back up I felt like I had to missed too much to get back into it. I much prefer the Dexter character over David and I can't believe what a good actor Michael C. Hall is. I don't have Showtime any more so I'm stuck watching it on CBS now. But I want to buy the DVDs of it and I haven't read any of the books yet.

My vote goes to Dexter as well. Like the first poster, I watched SFU until midway through the second season too and then for some reason just stopped watching it. That's not to say that I didn't really enjoy SFU. I am planning on re-starting it again soon, as I just got the complete set of dvd's. As for Dexter, Michael C. Hall does a superb job playing a very nice and likeable blood forensics expert who is secretly a sociopathic killer. But he manages his murderous tendencies but just killing the bad guys. A really neat concept and Hall plays his character to a tee!
