why do dogs always have to play

sometimes i just want to sit back and relax with my dog but noo. my dog alwys wants to play. if shes not begging me for some play time then shess off sleeping on her own. she never wants or needs me unless im going to play with her. what should i do?

At least you know your dog is healthy. My dog doesnt play that much because he is older, but he still has his favorite squeakies and when he is in a good mood with a full belly we play. It igves them some exercise and they like to engage with us also.
