What is your favorite sandwich?

I just couldn't bare the thought of cooking tonight, so we had sandwiches. With the different requests, I probably could have taken that amount of time and actually cooked a dinner! The kids wanted paninis. What a choice...pastrami, turkey, roast beef, salami, ham, american cheese, swiss cheese, monteray jack and the always popular "yellow - white" a colby monteray mixture. I had my fav, a pastrami on rye with swiss cheese and saurkraut with hot mustard. So what is your favorite sandwich?

My favorite is the Montey Crisco at Bennigans. That is one thing I will break my diet for every time.

Hehe, this topic is making me hungry too. My favorite homemade sandwich is a tie between tuna salad, egg with lettuce, pickle, onion, cheese, and mayonaise, and peanut butter and banana. If I'm going for a sub, it's another tie-tuna melt or veggie melt from Subway or honeymustard chicken from Quizno's. Might have to go get one of those subs today!

I love making paninis, but don't get to have them often. Most times, I simply put meat between bread and add cheese and grill on my George Foreman grill with butter for a toasty taste. It's almost as good!

Best ever is a good Club Sandwich. Its got ham, bacon, egg, cheese, tomatoes, beef or chicken or turkey. There used to be a hotel here in Port of Spain that made really good ones - and cheap too ! The more modern version is not so good. They hinge on the ingredients, I guess because of cost. Also a good bacon sandwich is pretty tasty.

A large cheesesteak calzone is my favorite... It's large pizza crust that is stuffed with cooked chipped steak, tomatoe sauce, onions, green peppers, Italian seasoning, and approximately 7lbs. of Mozzerella cheese inside and out! LOL! Just kidding! It's more like 8 ounces... The crust is then folded in half and pinched to close it. This creation goes into a hot broiler oven for about 25 minutes! :) Talk about STUFFED! Don't try eating one by yourself unless you are very, very hungry! :) Here's some more recipes from my Apsense article! :) http://www.apsense.com/article/117591.html

I love sandwiches but I like them better made by someone else, I really like the ones that can be bought at cafes and such, my favourite would have to be cheese and tomato with lots of salt and pepper.

My favorite sandwich is a Philly CheeseSteak. You're right about some sandwich preparations taking as long as making a regular dinnner, but well worth it. I love all types of bread, so I usually use French loaf bread, or hoagy bread, or sandwich rolls; round steak (or other types; depending on my mood), grilled onions, lots of mustard, and melted swiss and american cheese. Of course, lettuce and tomatoes. Now I want one! (smile)

My favorite is the same as you!! A local deli up the street from where we live makes the ultimate pastrami on rye with saurkraut (all their subs are excellent but that one is my fav). I'm normally not a big eater but I can eat the whole foot long sandwich like it's nothing. Yum. This topic is making me hungry. I think I'll pick one of these up tomorrow for lunch. I haven't had one in a long time.

ahh, you can't ever turn down the old peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Whoever came up with that combination must be a genius. In my opinion PB&J beats all other sandwiches.

Oooohh I love sandwiches. I have a couple of favorites. The simple sandwich that I loved since I was a kid is a ham and egg with mayo sandwich. I also love Chicken Club Asparagus from Starbucks. I have this friend, we were classmates and seatmates in one of our subjects back in college, she ALWAYS brings sandwiches for us. Their maid makes a very yummy chicken sandwich with tomatoes and lettuce and I don't know what dressing she uses. Yummy. Then there's Sabrett's hotdogs. I love the chili and the mustard. Okay, now I'm craving.

mine would be mild cheddar cheese with mayo on sourdough with pickles of course and thats just what I will have for my supper 'tonight lol.its just too hot to do a lot of cooking and I do not feel all that well either so a sandwich and potato salad would be really good. with ice cold milk yum.maybe strawberries for dessert.

Wow the sandwiches you just made sound delicious! Personally, I can have a peanut butter and banana sandwich anytime. Not only is it so easy to make it, I can have it cold or warm as well! I like mostly all kinds of meat sandwiches as well. I'm only picky about the veggies in my sandwich as I don't like to have pickles and really big slices of raw tomatoes in it.
