cheated by employer

When I first started work at my current workplace my manger at that time promised an increament of 50$ if I upgrade myself to a diploma. I spend money, thousand of dollars, time and energy working hard for my diploma. Finally after two and half years I succedded in getting a diploma in PC Specialist. By then the old manager has resigned and now replaced by a new manager. The new manager refused to raise my salary. I felt cheated. I would like to leave the company but I do not have the knowledge yet to start an online business and moreover I am broke now. Have any of mylotters been cheated by their current or past employer?
What would you have done in you were in my shoe?

I was cheated by my manager at my work before it was a different story.I worked in an insurance company as supervisor.I was cheated by my manager by getting my commission without my knowledge.I don't want to work with a cheater so instead of complaining i quit from my job because i don't want to have trouble at work and everytime i see her would remind me what she did to me.I just hate thinking that inspite of my kindness she would abused it that way.

Thank you very much for your response. I am glad to hear that you have managed to quit your job instead of contimue to work for the cheater. I am planning to quit my job by next year after I have successful made enough money from my business.

i've been cheated by more than one employer. one was paying me less every other week even though i worked the same hours. another did not give me pay for a day that they should have. another one did not give me my vacation pay. it happens. hang in there. you just see to it that you do the right thing. you are accountable for you.

Thank you very much for your response. I am sorry to hear that you have cheated by more than one employer. The truth is I too has been cheated by more than one employer and the worst cheater is my present employer. I am planning to quit my job soon to be self employed.

you now have a diploma so use it to get a new job at
different place rather than go online and get scammed
go job hunting. you have the diploma use it, you can'find
a better job. you do not need money to find a job just
apply at like companies until you get hired.thatis what I
would do were I you.

Thanks for your response. Once bitten twice shy. Cheaters are everywhere both online and offline. I will begin my online bussiness when I am ready. Moreover I am tired of working for others. I prefer to work for myself.

you have your diploma now maryrajam so if your manager didnt increase you why not look another job and pay you more?but if you porefer to open a business by urself you need a lot of experince and money also to start it.All i have to say is I wish you goodluck!!keep in your mind that if others can why cant you?right?!you can do it as long as u have determination in ur goal.

Thanks for your response. I will never work for anyone again. I am now training myself to do my own business. I am a very determined person and I know I can do it.
