you mean a mail is email or postmail? if email i dont think you can send it through email because the size is too big but you can upload it to file hosting site like rapidshare or megaupload etc..than send the link through email..

Try to split it with winrar or other software you prepare. but for me i prepare uploading it to a file hosting or storege services on the net, then email the direct link of that video so the one that received your email can download it. And after the video is download, you have the option to delete it.
