What was the reason India had lost hte final against Pakistan? I think one of the reason was Dhoni came down the batting order than the higher batting order.

India Vs Pakistan - It was strategy that let India down in the Final against Pakistan.
I think that there were a few strategical mistakes made by the captain and the team management. One is, as you have pointed out, "Dhoni" coming so late n the batting order. he should have came in front of "Raina" if not earlier, and another big mistake which cost them heavily was that they kept on bowling with their part timers for a bit too long in the middle overs.

I don't think dhoni's coming down the order is the cause of loosing the match. It's just that we lost early wickets but we came to the end we fought but lost and now they should what india is in the asia cup.

well i think this is quite an old topic but then again i have no problem in saying that we lost to pakistan only because we did not play the way we should have. first i cannot find justifucation of bowling 10 overs from piyus chawla when he was going for a lot of runs. younis and butt got the hold of him and so yuvraj should have been give the chance. he bowled few good overs. then there was no plan when they got settled to get the pair out. it was like the team was waiting for them to make a mistake. then i batting we chocked. plus to add that dhoni came a lot later then he should have

We cant call it over confidence, We know 290 is not a bad score. Our players did well, but still we have to work in our bowling.Ishant sharma is not in form after his injury.Praveen kumar is ok,but looks like over confideNT.Piyush chawla that day was not having his luck. so i would call it bad luck only. But i think i was not so bad.Atlast we lost after good fight.

It was definitely lack of planning; each batsman tried to hit big shots and in the process got out. They should have taken calculated risks. Though India played well , India could have won the match easily.

First of all Dhoni said his strategy to send Raina up the order was wrong but I differ with him. Raina should have come in at the spot were Yusuf Patha came. Coming to the reason of loss the first and foremost thing was Indians were lethargic on the field, they were complacent, their attitude was poor, they were waiting for things to happen and paid the price. And even after conceeding 300+ runs they must have chased it down with the line up they had. But apart from these had Yuvi Raina partnership continued a bit further we might have had a different result........

I love reading you India's were cricket is concern. Why you guys always blaming one person. Cricket is a team effort. I am sorry that India has lose their match but then that is how India and Pakistan matches always go. India win one and then Pakistan and then India wins the series. So it is Dhoni now who cause the loss. Well whether he comes higher and the match is destiny to lose India will lose. Look at the West Indies series against Australia. We were giving them a good fight and we lose. Are we going to say it is Chris Gayle or it is Sarwan. No that would be wrong. Chanderpaul plays good and contribute but the batsman do not. So this is what went wrong with India. India is a good team and I now that they will bounce back. So stop putting blame and just encourage the time.
