Under what criteria will consider your life a success?

I,personally,can't think of anything and feel that might be a source of the frustration i feel .Perhaps your answers will inspire me to find direction in my own life.

God gives everyone several decades to act as a man.
despite what do you want to do, just don't waste it.
you can have fun, and make yourself happy all across your life.
you can do great effort to accomplish great affairs, that makes your life a meaning one.
anyway, i think no one could avoid the pain life brings us.
life has its own rose and thorns, just open your mind, don't focous on the thorns, pay more attention to how to get the rose. it may bring you good luck!
