Do you protect your phone lines during a storm?

I know that many people use surge protectors for their electronic equipment but what about your internet connection and telephones? Do you use surge protectors on those as well? Several years ago lightening struck the pole in front of my house and fried all of the phone lines. It also fried the modem in my computer but, fortunately, didn't harm the cpu. Even an indirect hit close to an electrical transformer can send a power surge through all of the lines on the pole so, if you don't currently protect your phone lines from power surges, I highly recommend that you do.

phones and internet - Every connection is wireless in our home.
I don't have to, because all the phones and internet connection that we use in our home are wireless. I have always felt lack of speed in data transmission with wireless connection, but they seldom gets cold in a storm of for that matter in any situation.

I think we have a surge protector on the computer but not on the phone lines. They are expensive to buy. I hope that doesnt happen to me. We get some pretty bad storms around here.

You can also unplug your phones and your computer from the phone line at the wall jack and that will protect them.

I used to worry about my equipment if a storm came up while I wasn't home which is why I like the surge protectors so much.
