Does anyone else think that some of Tool's sounds and experimentations remind you of Pink Floyd, I have a few friends, myself included, that think that Tool is reminiscent of Pink Floyd, just wondered about all of your thoughts.

They are certainly a lot different in many ways from Pink Floyd but yeah they do sound similar in some parts to Pink Floyd. I love both bands. This is weird because I just typed Tool into spotify and there's nothing from Tool on there.

I think that too I also think that is why tool has such a huge following because they sometimes sounds a lot like Pink Floyd did. I also think that there are other songs that OMG are 100% Tool like I think a lot of the songs on 10,000 days is what Tool sounds like but Undertow sounds a little pink floyedish(If that is even a word)

The similarities between the groups have always been a topic of discussion with my friends and I. I think the main reason is because they both have psychedelic undertones and the stage shows are very extravagant. Pink Floyd and TOOL also tend to have lengthier songs than most popular groups.
