We live in a computer age and in the future we'll be able to look back at websites like myLot and see what we've written, as a kind of virtual diary of our thoughts way-back-when (ie. now!!). Do you ever think about this? Do you find it weird that our posts might be around for the length of our lifetime or beyond (assuming the internet doesn't suffer some fatal crash in the intervening period...)????????
This thought kind of freaks me out, just because it's never happened before. I know people have always written diaries and published books, but all our thoughts will be recorded here (publicly) for a long time - they will be there for future generations to see, and they'll get a real insight into what we were like and the kinds of things we were thinking and what life was like in the 2000's. I feel like this (and all its implications) is a bit too bit for my little brain to handle!!
I'm assuming of course that future generations will be interested, probably have better things to do...
