almost every night reports of babies that are abandoned or thrown from a building or taxi headline the news. can you imagine a newborn baby being thrown from the ninth floor of a condominium? of course, the baby didn't survive. i bet the perpetrator wouldn't either if i were to throw him down that building...as a mother-or any human being i think- i find this news very disturbing. what kind of a person would do something like this? treating the baby as if it's nothing but a broken barbie doll. whenever i see a baby i can't help but smile and swoon. it's just the loveliest sight in the world. it's a miracle in sight... up until now i don't hear anybody going to jail for this. mothers who don't want to raise their babies should have at least done the decent thing and give thier babies away.

I have seen that headline on one of the tabloids while I was passing by a store. It's a very sad news that some people can display such behavior. I am asking myself, where is their conscience. I bet no one in their right mind would do that. Regardless of how the baby was conceived, it's never the baby's fault that he was born into this world. I believe that babies are blessings and they ought to be cherished. I salute those moms who still try their hardest to give life to their baby no matter how difficult the circumstances are.

Oh how I couldn't agree more, and when a mother does something like this, and is caught, instead of just a slap on their wrist, and other children returned, they need to find a way to keep that woman from ever being able to have kids again. Personally there are many many women out there who were never able to have children who would have Loved to have had the opportunity. So many people just tend to throw out their babies, etc. and never think twice. To me, this is the same as Abortion, and if you don't want the children, why get pregnant with them? Just my thoughts.

I agree. If you do not want to raise your child right, then you should give them to someone who is going to do a good job of raising them.

Being a young, single mom, I find these kind of things sickening. Although I am against abortion, it seems a much better option than killing a newly born baby. A much better option is to not get pregnant at all, but I guess this doesn't apply anymore. Our country should really make a law that would give punishment to such people. A lifetime sentence in jail is not enough to pay for what they did to the baby, heck even their lives still aren't enough. Really insane... A lot of couples/single women are willing to take abandoned/unwanted babies as their own because they themselves aren't capable to conceive, which is why infant killing shouldn't be happening. Better be known as someone who gave away their baby rather than someone who killer their own baby. Sorry for the long rant, I just find the sudden increase of this act being reported in the news very disturbing and alarming. This shouldn't be allowed anymore.
