Kids would definitely love pastries, potatoes, chocolates and ice cream [ a large percentage of them]. We should take care to keep these as delicacies and offer them limited quantities and concentrate on their balanced nutritious diet encouraging them to take sufficient protein rich food, and green leafy vegetables right from when they are young. This would give them a balance in approach and they cannot keep on indulging their palates with sweets ans fatty fried items, and things that only suit the taste buds. This would result in obesity and so nutritious food should be prepared and given and specially presented in a colourful way .This would induce an interest in the food given. They would not protest too much if this discipline is cultivated from a very early childhood period. This of course calls for a lot of patience and labour on the mother's side [in our days] and in these days of equality someone should feel and take the responsibility for doing this. Good sumptuous, nutritious food helps in the alertness and brain powers of the child ;this does not mean they should not be given what they like.It only means that they should learn to like regular balanced meals as a routine.

Their craving for sweets can be handled by introducing a taste in fresh fruits .This can be given as plain simple fruit and after sometime , once in a week can be added to custard, jelly, china grass etc etc as per the affordability of a parent.

Cakes and pastries are the love of children and the adults alike. You cannot keep them away from children.. you can do one thing, make healthy cakes at home instead.. Include fruits, vegetables and dry fruits in cakes like Apple cake, banana cake, carrot cake, pumpkin cake, or cakes made using dried fruit can be delicious treats for someone following a well-balanced diet. you can use fruit juice, flavored yogurt, or non-fat sour cream to cut calories without losing the taste. Give children what they need. These cakes are healthy and also tasty. I often saw the cake residue was taken out from the cake store, and i was told by my friends that the most of cake residue will be made the new cake and stick the current datecode,so we be suggested that eat the cake as less as possible, and now we do the pastries by ourself.

Pastries are not at all good for health as they contain lots of fats, and contain high calories, which is very hard to digest,it requires at least 30 minute workout. I avoid it because of it,and I think,it is better to avoid.
