i have a laptop with the built-in mouse. i works great for me, but my husband hates it. as a gift to him (and so that i don't have to hear him complain anymore) i bought him a wireless mouse. he loves it, and i'm starting to find that i'm using it more and more. on my old desktop computer, we had a traditional mouse. i hated the fact that the stupid cord was always getting in the way and restricting my use. but, if i had to pick a favorite, it would have to be the wireless. the only bad thing is that i have to replace the batteries occassionally. do you have a preference?

I use a wireless mouse and keyboard on my desktop. I hate the wires too. I can sit at my desk or turn the monitor and lounge while online. I really like it. I bought rechargeable batteries so I always have fresh ones on hand without adding to pollution. I am planning to get a laptop soon and I will most definitely have wireless with it. It is just so much easier than the tiny little mouse you get with them.

though rechargable batteries can be useful, they're not as effective over time and still will be replaced. i have a set now that i use in my digital camera, and they hardly hold a charge at the moment. it's really annoying, because you never know when they're going to decide to stop working.

I have a laptop with a built in mouse. I don't like it at all but depending on where I am with my computer, I will use it. It does slow me up, though. Usually, I just use my wireless mouse. There are batteries to replace but I get them at the dollar store so they are very cheap. I love my wireless mouse!

I once tried wireless mouse...but it didn't work so fine for me. You see i'm and active player and play online alot, and a wireless mouse sometimes lost its connection or batteries in middle of an important game, so it made me angry, so i had to switch back to traditional mouse and keyboard. The wires are no problem for me, nicely hidden away from everything.

I've used all three - the wired mouse, the wireless mouse and the laptop pad thingee. I have to say my favorite is the wireless mouse because of the freedom of having no tangled wires. I am more used to it and it just feels better for my hand. I find I work a lot quicker with a mouse over the laptop pad, which is my least favorite. I have used the laptop pad many times, but still find it very awkward to manoeuvre with. I also find I'm not as accurate with it and I have a harder time getting the pointer where I want it to go. The batteries aren't too bad on my wireless mouse. I found that I had to replace them after 6 months. So twice a year isn't too much of a hassle.
