So last night around 9pm I was getting ready to blog on mylot. When I heard a loud noise a turned around and my 4 year old daughter had fell off the are bar stool. I jumped up and ran over to her. Soon as I moved her blood went every where. I graped the kitchen towel that was hanging on the fergie. Told my husband we got to go to the hospital NOW!! So my mom was like that me look at it because when you hot your head it bleeds more. I took the towel off and she said" OMG we got to go to the hospital. So me and my mom ran to the jeep put Arizona( my daughter) into the jeep and off we go to the hospital. I was trying to keep her awake in case she had a cansation(sorry about my spelling I suck at it). So we said are ABC and counted. Got to the hosptail seen the doctor and 14 stitches in her fore head. The poor girl did so good only cried when she first fell off and when the where use a needle to numb the huge gash in her fore head. I was so proud of her. I was the one almost passing out because it cut all the way to the skull and they where moving it around while they where numb it. Thank god my mother was there because she was talking to Arizona while the put the stitches in because I couldn't talk. Has anyone went throuth anything like this?

Awww, poor Arizona. I love the name by the way. I have been lucky, my 12 year old has yet to go through anything like that. She choked on some formula when she first born and gave me the scare of a lifetime, but nothing major since then. I would have been pretty shook up myself, I bet. Head wounds are nasty. I'm glad she is ok.

Awww, poor little Arizona. Hope she is doing ok today. Will probably be very sore and she might have a terrific headache. The head bleeds like crazy. Most of the time it looks worse than it actually is because of the pools of blood that surround a wound. Yes, we had this happen to our oldest daughter all the time when she was little. Something was always being stitched. We made so many hospital visits that some of the employees knew us by our first names. Our other two kids weren't nearly as accident prone and didn't have all the stitches like our oldest.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this. She will be in a lot of pain when the numbness wares off. Bless her heart. 14 stitches is alot to have. I feel so sorry for her. I know as a mom you must be in pain too with so many thoughts running through your head. You have to let them be kids and they are gonna fall. You were there for her and she will remember this. I will be praying for a speedy recovery.

OUCH! My children so far have managed to avoid stitches. I once hit my head on a door when I was about 5 or 6. I split my eyebrow open. My parents did not take to to the hospital even though it could have used a few stitches. It just got bandaged up. I still have that scar.
