Right now, I do not have space to grow foods in our apartment. But in the province where I grew up as a kid, I used to grow eggplants, malunggay, okra, ginger and bell peppers. There were more actually because we have a big space. My grandfather was very good in gardening so it was so much fun then.

We grow a few things in the summer. We grow tomatoes, we have three plants, also basil and chives. Wish we could grow more but we don't have the time or the space. We sure do love those tomatoes. They are like candy. We have 2 of the grape tomato plants and one Roma. Now with all the scare of semonella with the tomatoes I am so glad we decided to grow them again this year.

My husband and I moved to our "dream home" last year and I finally have the space to have a large garden. I have planted several kinds of fruit and nut trees, along with every kind of berry bush or vine I could find. I also have strawberries and kiwi growing. I also have an herb garden with many different herbs growing. In my yearly garden I have tomatoes, potatos, many kinds of peppers, pumpkins, corn, honeydew melon, cantalope, beans, celery, cucumbers, and several other things. I am so glad that I can finally do this, because it is something I have wanted since I was a kid. And now, with the cost of food going up so high, I'm glad to have these things right in my back yard.

I agree! I have had a garden since I was a kid, just growing tomatoes. Since I was old enough to be on my own, I've added new things to my garden each year. The pleasure of seeing your veggies growing can't be measured! And eating them... nothing compares!
