Life without your phone!

Do you remember the days where mobile/cell phones weren't around, I couldn't imagine not having one now! I always remember my dad saying he would never have a mobile as they were for higher class people and were basically a fashion accessorie to make the person look good and fell important! Now several years on the majority of people including my dad has a mobile! I have reminded him fo what he said several times and we now laugh as they are so much more acceptable in society. Crazy! I would be lost without my phone what about you?

I was caught in an extremely heavy downpour of rain last night. Everything in my bag was soaked through (including my money in my wallet!) and now my phone won't turn on! I might actually be devastated :P

Oh no that is awful, my sons juice leaked in my pocket once all over my mobile and I was so upset as it was new and lovely! It never worked again, well it turned on but you couldn't see anything on the screen!

Ugh. My daughter tossed my old one in the toilet and I tried drying it out to no avail. I replaced it with a phone that lasted me a good year until I upgraded early to what I have now. My old phone was not bluetooth capable and starting in July (tomorrow) my state has a new law that you must use hands-free or bluetooth only while in a vehicle unless you are not driving. I do not want anything to happen to THIS phone though so i have insurance on it.

We need to be more careful with liquids :P I put my sim card into my mom's phone today to see if it stil lworked and nope, it's completely fried. Luckily my memory card still works so I haven't lost any of my pictures, music, games or ringtones. Of course they're mostly useless with no phone!

I wouldnt be lost without it simply becuase I dont own one and never have...I've considered it several times but really there hasnt been any need for anyonen in this house to have a cell except maybe my husband in the winter should he get stranded or be delaying in getting home due to snowstorms..MIND YOU I'm HOPING to do some regular traveling starting in the next few months so I MIGHT get a pay as you go..

LOL! Higher class people? Fashion accessory? Yeah, oh well then I'm a classy snob with a cool little gadget =P I spend a lot of time out and about so the only way to reach me or for me to stay in contact with other people is by having a cell phone. I am an avid texter and I usually wear a bluetooth so it's pretty easy to answer calls and not have it interrupt anything I'm doing - unless I am talking to another person as the phone rings. This can cause some pretty funny reactions if you were in the middle of ordering a latte or something. I have forgotten my phone at home before and it feels like I'm missing a body part almost. I also get to listen to a slew of messages when i return from people who are wondering why I didn't answer my cell because they knew I wasn't at home since they tried me at home first...
