Hi All! I have a prayer request. Gospel Nights has happened each June for the last 3 years on Main Street in Sophia, WV. It is scheduled this year for June 23-27. The devil is making a big play to have it stopped at this time. Why? There are salvations each year. Last year there was 12. The year before that one of the souls saved was a teen drug addict. Great gospel music is sung at this wonderful event by groups, & individuals. Many area churches get involved. There are wonderful testimonies & preaching. several hundred people attend over the course of the 5 days. There is good food. It's a wonderful time of fellowship. Out in the open on main street the unadulterated Gospel goes forth, to many who are unchurched, like it did in bygone days, before public preaching became such an offense. All of this sanctioned by the Town's government. Satan does not like the name of Jesus to be freely exalted, nor the Gospel preached unhindered. A disgruntled businessman in Sophia, who has caused problems in the past for this outreach, even showing a pistol he carried on his hip, has let the town of Sophia know that he is notifying the ACLU to have this event stopped this year. This man, ironically, is a church goer. Gospel Nights has always started at 6:00 pm each year; most of Sophia's businesses close at 5:00pm. The startup time was picked so as not to intrude on business hours. This man closes at five & goes to his home in another town! He is also threatening the young man whom God has used to birth this street ministry. I am proud to have been a part of Gospel Nights in the past. I was planning to do so this year, unless satan is allowed to shut us down. People, the ACLU is not an elected organization. They have no legal ties to our government. They have no real authority to do what they do, yet we all sit by and allow them to continue to strip this nation of it's Christian heritage. They are a huge reason America is in the mess it is in. Please pray that satan WILL NOT be the victor this time. He is trying to shut down all venues of the Gospel, & he will walk into our churches one day to do the same ( he's already started this campaign ) if we don't pray & expose him for what he is. Please pray for the gentleman who is Satan's tool in this. Pray that his heart will be softened & he will turn from his destructive path. Pray for the young man who birthed Gospel Nights because of his love for the Lord Jesus & his love for the unsaved. He will go to jail over this if he must. But why should he have to? Pray for protection for all who partake in & attend this event. Pray that not only will it go on, but that this will be the greatest year for souls saved than all three years combined. If we don't take a stand for Jesus now, we may lose the right to do so very soon. Prayerfully consider sending this e-mail on to other believers who are prayer warriors. We must not lose our right to witness of our Lord. Each time satan is allowed to muzzle the witness of believers, we all lose, especially those who are lost & are prevented from hearing the Truth. If you think this won't touch you where you worship, think again. The last time I looked, America still proclaims freedom for all its citizens. Yet all faiths are tolerated, even celebrated, except the true one, Christianity. Thanks for letting me share. In His Name,
