Parents have great impact on their children. What we are now is what our parents made us to be, although there are few exceptions. What good virtues have you learned from your parents and which do you consider the best? As for me, I learned from my parents, the virtue of patience, honesty, and industriousness among others but the best virtue is the fear of the Lord that I now have in my heart.

Ohhh that is so sad! If the man and wide don't even know how to live peacefully with each other how can they ever afford to teach good things to their kids? I am sorry for you dear. Anyway, I hope you don't repeat that bad history with your own family.

actually i'm avoiding it to happen with my daughters on the contrary we my wife do not fight, and if we have an argument over some matters we discuss it secretly, what i learned form my parents is do the opposite of what they have done when we were still young.

I am happy to hear that you love your parents. Children who love their parents can expect to be loved by their own children as well. We always reap what we sow. I think your parents have loved their parents as well so you are right that they are your role model in their love. To be hardworking and responsible are very good traits too. Congrats!
Sorry for very late response of mine. Have a nice day!

Yes dear Salonga,
Parents have taught me everything. I learnt from my father humility and to respect all cadres of people we meet alike, to treat them the same way. They taught us honesty is the best policy , to be frank without hurting others etc..Patience you have to develop yourself and can do so with your parents help.
We should be very lucky to get good parents whom ever one around you respects and admires a lot. Even now when ever I go somewhere I am really very happy to hear someone saying in hush tones that she is so and so's daughter, in awed tones.
One has to develop so that you earn that respect from other humanbeings..

Yes salonga, I was one of the luckiest ones to get parents like this.
They had passed away a long time back but still I am not able to get over the fact. I remember them always, particularly when I find myself in trouble.. The thought helps me to come out of the problem easily.

My parents rarely teach me directly, they just do the right things to let me know what is right and what is wrong. What i have been influenced from them, is honesty, generousness, and also industriousness.
