Today, we have midsummer day party here in Sweden. It is a tradition that we always celebrate the summer at this time of the summer. What we do is eating herring, sour cream, chive and fresh potato. For desert we have strawberry´s with cream. always the strawberry´s are rather expensive, during this day. You pay at least $6 for one liter strawberry´s.
We make a midsummer pole which we dress in small trees and flowers, and we sing and dance around it.
If you work a day like this You get paid extra. But for me I am free of but some of my sisters will work and my mother also work. But after she have ended her workday she come and catch me an my son and we are going to celebrate with the family.
However, always, there are no god weather, always raining and a bit chilly it is. But for now, Swedish 8:00 clock in the morning, the sun is actually shining, but it is a bit windy.
Do You carry on YOUR country´s family tradition?
