When a person goes shopping for jewelery, there is always a criteria that is used by the individual before deciding on a particular piece for purchase. For diamonds, I know it is the 3 Cs Color Carat Clarity how bout for other precious metals like platinum, white gold, pure gold and pound gold? What are some of the yard sticks you use to decide if that piece of jewelery in your hand is worth its price stated on the tag?

hmm i don't really go shopping for jewelry much. i guess my choices for precious metal is pretty limited as i am sensitive to everything except platinum and pure gold. so anything with design or gems will have to be platinum. that could be the reason why i'm not into jewelry. i can only drool at the pretty designs but can't wear any of them. as for the price, it's dependent on how much i like the piece. how much i like it will decide on how much i'll fork out for it. :p

Hey, apple freak, thanks for sharing. It seems that mylotters are not into shopping when it comes to jewelery. Heh heh heh... interesting. You are sensitive to metals. Wow... even to stainless steel? Now a days, stainless steel is the new IN-THING to wear and there are quite a few good designer boutiques selling them stuff. Platinum has limited designs due to the price. But there are many designs for pure gold. There will be no worries about getting a good design for pure gold jewelery! In fact, I know of a few shops that hold good pretty designs from time to time. Poh Heng is one of them!
