how to change MYLOT avatar

hi, so sorry if this sounds silly, but i can't seem to find the instructions on how to change my avatar here on mylot! can somebody please help me. so sorry, i know it sounds so stupid of me. but i have spent almost an hour figuring it out :(

go to edit your preference from left hand pane. there you will see a browse button below the green picture. attach the pic you want.

Well to be honest i managed to put a picture on as avatar, but then i removed it, and in some discussions it still appears in some it appears that i have none. I have uploaded another picture and it is NOT displaying as an avatar. If you find out the answer i will like it as well. Take care !

actually - if you are seeing a picture with me in a black t-shirt and having something in my hand and with a black and white background - that means you are seeing the deleted picture. A picture with me in a suit should display as my avatar - which one do you see ?

Well sorry for double posting but i managed to change it myself now :D just follow subha12 instructions and you will get there !
