Do you immediately resort to taking medicines or painkillers even if the pain or the headache is still bearable?

I have fibromyalgia and so I'm often in a lot of pain, but I try to avoid taking painkillers unless I really have to. The long term effects of constant use aren't good, so I ration myself as it were. If I have a headache I try and sleep it off or use balms. I also use hot wheat and lavender bags for my joints and work with crystal and spiritual healing. There are a lot of alternative remedies that can really ease your suffering.

You're right, I should have mentioned to drink lots of water. How could I forget?! That's one of the most important things!

Really. I have heard of using crystals but never have I tried it. My friend did suggest it to me once. As for me, I usually just go to bed early and most of all I just drink plenty of water. M

Absolutely not! I go to medicine as a last option. I hate taking medicine, I don't know why, but it's always been like that.

Me too. As much as possible I'd like my body's natural defenses to work first and if it's really serious, then that's the time I'll resort to medicine. I've never been a pill fan. Even when I get a minor cold, I don't like taking any meds.

My course of action exactly! A nice warm herbal tea and a hot soup is always more welcomed for me than any kind of medicine.

I don't like to take pain medicine and I won't unless the headache, etc. is so bad that I just can't take it anymore. I already have to take enough other medicines without adding pain medicine to it. I don't like to take any medicine unless it is absolutely necessary.

You're right. Especially in cases where you are already taking medications, it wouldn't be advisable.

I do not immediately resort to medicines or painkillers if the pain is still bearable. I usually wait for the pain to subside. I rarely take medicines because I often get spasms when I do. It's a totally different story for toothaches though.

Exactly! I cannot bear toothaches too. One must take something for the pain to go away.

I don't actually resort to medicine unless I consult my doctor or anyone who has good knowledge about medicine. Then again, there are times when my headache becomes so unbearable and I'm all alone so I have no choice but to drink painkillers. I have a slight symptoms of migraine, I even got hospitalized for my headache before.
