There are people that are really into investing in them and try to buy every new video card, processor or Ram memory. There are people that just like to keep their computer up to date with some new upgrades, so that new software still runs smoothly and there are people that just don't consider the possibility of investing in a computer once bought because they consider it a waste of time and money. How about you ?

I didn't update my computer hardware frequently, as it's very expensive compared to our salary. We will try to use same computer, same hardware as long as we can, one hardware can cost 10-20% of our salary, and sometime even more.

I guess it costs about the same or more here as well, but you would be surprise how people spend money on this (and on mobile phones or cars as well here in Romania). Thanks for sharing.

I know the feeling. I spent quite a few bucks in upgrading my computer as well, and now, i reached it's limits - meaning that if i want to improve it further i must change it entirely - which will also cost me a lot of money, so for now i am keeping it the way it is. Thanks for responding here.

My brother is like that. It was his computer his investment but not me. As long as my computer rans smoothly I don't consider any upgrade. But if I really needed to upgrade it like what happen on my OS before it was really outdated so I consider an upgrade.

Well for me, even i using the intel 3 processor, i have no intention to upgrade my computer. To me if my computer can typing and online is already very good to me. Nowdays computer is very fast since the intel dual=core is out,and if you are the type to like always upgrade your computer, you normally need some big money to spend in your hardware and software in your computer.

It's too expensive to upgrade my computer every year as new hardwares will be rolling out almost every few months. I'll only upgrade my computer every 2-3 years.

i dont think thats a good idea...becouse the value is always decreasing ....so whats the use in investing something which has a depreciating value....doesnt make sense to me???

With the rate hardware advancement and cost are changing I would say I wait more before investing on an upgrade or a new one. I have adopted the wait-and-see attitude by reading reviews, software compatibility, new technology direction and the necessity of a replacement; in short I don't have the money to invest and pamper my computer that much.)

I upgrade my systems periodically. I'm on an old one now that I will not upgrade anymore because it is so old that I would rather put the money toward a completely new system. So I'm saving for a new laptop and then a desktop. I will upgrade them as I go. Upgrades are easy to do and unless your system is really old it helps.

I prefer to invest as per our requirements if we require to scan some papers with in 6months there is no require of buying printer so,we have to update according to our needs
