Anyone on here live in NM?

If so, where do you live in New Mexico? What things do you like about it and what do you really dislike? I wonder if there's anyone like me that came for a short while and then wound up staying. I've always been drawn here - but I'm a gypsy.

NM is very nice. My daughter used to live there in Taos and I must admit the desert can be beautiful. But in that town shopping is so limited that I would have gone crazy in very short time trying to live there. Great place to visit though.

You mean in Taos shopping is limited right? Albuquerque has about three malls, Walmarts, Coscos, Boutique shops, southwestern shops, great furniture shops...

Yes, I meant in Taos. One old style Walmart, maybe 2 decent grocery stores and the rest is all art galleries and boutiques. Even mail is only delivered 2 or 3 times a week. lol

Wow, I guess those who live there prefer it like that. Some don't like Walmart and malls. I like the convenience of Walmart - but prefer little groceries like Sunflower Market and smaller stores to the Mall. In bigger cities you get the best of both worlds.

I live in just the opposite...MN....LOL...I haven't had the chance to visit NM either.....but I hear that its wonderful.

It is. Something has drawn me here since I was very young - despite the fact that I love the ocean and don't like extreme temperatures!

I just moved from Albuquerque, NM a couple of weeks ago. I spent 3 months there. Is that where you're at? If so, I can give you some fun things to do.
