Psychology was life altering for me. Doing a womb to tomb report, I discovered that I had a half brother that I didn't know about. The details came slowly and I still probably don't have them all. Since that time, I have talked to him, but never met him. The most painful thing is that it hasn't been dealt with in my family. It has been more than 13 years, and I just learned another detail within the last 6 months. This is why I never believe that what you see is all there is. I don't remember who said it, but I think it was Edison; "If you have skeletons in your closet, you may as well make them dance."

i dont know how to react about what you have just shared. im shocked that a story like that can happen in real life too. so how are you and your half brother? do you get along with him? there are secrets left unrevealed, but in life it's better to make our lives private though there are things we really need to share. and im glad you opened that experience. and psychology, however, helped you to cope up. thanks for your reply.

I am a Psychology graduate. It's very interesting, I was able to understand myself more, and the behavior of other people. It made me more broadminded and patient. I learned how to express myself and I gained self confidence. Goodluck to u!

I majored in psych originally and loved it. It is very interesting. I had a great professor. I didn't stay in it because I really didn't want to spend every day for the rest of my life hearing other peoples problems.

but it's nice to hear and study the attitudes of others right? you can sutdy the way they think, the way they move, and the way they speak.. i really want to get a psychology course soon.. but i have to finish nursing first before i can get it.. what i like about psychology is that you get to realize a lot of things that you didnt expect you would, and that's the most interesting part about it..

Hi I personally have done just an AS in Psycology but am doing a degree in advanced criminology as I have also done law with incorporates a lot of pyschology too but my eldest daughter is in the middle of doing a Pyscology degree herself and is doing very well, she is concentrating more on clinical rather than forensics. Why don't you take up a home course so that you can do in spare time when not working if this really appeals to you and could help further yournursing career. Ellie :D

my schedule now doesnt permit me to have it done.. i think i should finish my studies first before proceeding to taking up psychology.. good for you and your daughter that you both have an education about the subject.. it's reallu useful to our everyday lives and we get to understand the things and why they are like that..

I just signed up for my classes today, and my adviser told me not to take General Psychology (even though it sounded interesting) because if I passed my AP Psychology exam, then I guess I would not have to take it for my major, or something. I have heard that AP Psychology is very much similar to college Psychology, as it does give college credit. Anyway, I really love Psychology. I was able to learn more about myself, and more about others. In the class that I was in, we did some sort of experiment every day. Many were only a few minutes long, because it took that long to get someone to do something, then explain why they did it.

I took an AP Psychology course in high school, and am now majoring in Psychology in college. Psychology is one of my major life passions -- the human mind fascinates me, and I love learning about it. I think the field also has a great capacity to help people, which is something I also enjoy.
