So here's the deal. My daughter drives my car at least 70% of the time. Whenever I'm using it she calls to see when I'll be home....or walks over (if I'm close by) to liberate it. She really needs her own car, but she has saved nada and I pay her insurance. Should I buy her a car and save myself hassles or should I suffer until she's more responsible and saves a few bucks?

Does she have a job? Maybe you can spot her a moped or scooter so she has a way to work or school and she can start saving for the car. If she starts doing well perhaps you could help her buy a used car with the promise she is paying you back or at least taking over the insurance and such. Or, just fix your tire and tell her to bike. Then when she says I hate my bike say fine, ride mine.

I did fix the tire...and, with one too many in me, I told her how much I had set aside. I told her I'd match her whatever she saves. She works at Briq's. Go for an ice cream.
