What Is the Easiest Way to Setup Your Blog with Code for Email Subscriptions?

I know that Blogger has the "Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)" feature, but I'm not one to regularly go into my favorites and then open the feeds section, so I don't really subscribe to blogs that way. I like to receive notifications of new blog posts to the blogs that I like via email. I know there are a number of services out there that people can choose to join a subscription to services that will email new blog posts, and I see a number of blogs that have about a dozen or more widgets clustered together to allow a visitor to click on their favorite service to subscribe to the blog. What is the easiest way to add this code to a blog in order to allow people to click the widget and subscribe? Is there somewhere convenient from which to copy and paste this information? (And while I'm asking, what reader services do you prefer to enable for your blogs?)
