It just occure to me. How many of you read a post and then give your opinion? Do you read everyone else and get ideas, agree with them or do you just read the post and go straight directly to write your comment?

I usually try to get a pretty good idea about what others are saying, a minimum of half. Then, I offer a comment. I may be bad, but some responses require my attention before I respond to the original comment. It's just ADD and a wild tangent in another direction.

I've done that also, I will comment on the other posts before posting to the original. Thank you for posting.

Generally I read the discussion and then if I have somehting to say or add I will immediately hit the respond button. AFter I have wrote my response then I check and see what others wrote....and it's funny cause sometimes I will see what I have said in a different way...and sometimes I will see some who have taken the discussion all wrong.

I've seen that also. I try to read before writing my comments, but I just hit the respond button and there I go giving my thoughts. Thank you for giving me yours.

i open my mail first before i press the link to go to mylot page. so i can only read is the discussion alone. i can only read other members response if i post my response already. so i give my views on what i understand regarding the post. then i read others response because with this we can learn also a lot from others.

Hi kaleegirl, I am reading the post/topic first then type my response. If the topic includes or is related to previous post which I failed to read, I will read 1 or 2 responses to learn the detailed then go on typing my own message!

The reason I asked was because after I put my comments I read some of the others and I sort of put the same thing different words. Thanks you for you comments

I skim most of the posts on the first page. I do that so I won't give an answer that's exactly the same as someone else. I also do that so I can try not to say anything too opposite of anyone else ether.

It's funny how we sometimes tend to response and give the same answer that someone else wrote, without knowing that it was already posted. I wonder if MYLOT has a delete button, just in case we need to delete our post? Thank you for writing back.

i just go right on typing as soon as i read the post, i really dont concern myself with what everyone else has to say cause that will affecrt what i originally had to say and i want to say what is on my mind.

That is so true, you read the post and you know what you want to say and when you started reading the rest of comments, I lose my sense of thought. thank you for your response

On a normal I will just read the discussion and then answer. There are rare occassions where I will read some of the responses. I just feel like if I don't answer before reading what others write, I won't give a genuine answer; my own genuine answer.

Hi kaleegirl, Yes, I do....I read a post before I give my opinion. I also scan through other people posts but I have to say that their opinions do not have any effects on mine. I have my very own opinion and I will just write what I think or how I feel about that issue depends on the discussion. What about you?

I feel the same way. I write about me and what has happen to me during my life time. If we had the same opinions as other, we be very boring. It's true it does not effect anyone, unless you let it. I like to read other people point of view, I may not like it but that is their opinion. Thanks for posting.

Hi Kaleegirl, I do the same. I read the post and the responses and agree with them if I agree so I avoid to give the same response giving a comment in the response. But I need to say that seems that some persons don't read nor the post to give their responses lol. Time to time we find some responses that come from Mars.

I know what you mean, I got a post the other day, and it had nothing to do with what the original post was about. That person threw a curve at me, maybe it did come from Mars or the beyond. Thank you for you comments.

Well,I do read clearly and slowly what the discussion starter has said. And whether I read others responses to that discussion depends on the number of posts/responses that the discussion has received. According to mylot guidelines, you must read all the posts before answering. But,I think about 85% of mylotters don't usually do that. One thing is your idea may get combined with someone else idea and you won't know what to say or you might get into a position where you don't have enough thing to say. So,normally most of the mylotters don't read others post all the time, even though its against mylot guidelines. Cheers! Have a good day Happy mylotting and happy earnings.
