The Casulties of Cul-de-sac Living

Okay,so today my daughter's feelings got hurt. I live in a very catty neighborhood. The neighbors and I have talking for a while about having a lemonade stand for charity and today my one neighbor went and did it without including my daughter. I think I was more annoyed about it than my daughter was, but still.
Why do some parents have to be so immature? Would you ever purposely hurt a 7 year old's feelings? I just don't get it.

No, but some parents are in competition with kids so they can feel superior when they win. You should put up a lemonade stand and make it a healthy competition with your neighbors kid. Have brownies, cookies, and maybe even a raffle. Yikes, I sound like I'm competitng too. We lived in a Cul-de-sac, btw, did you know Cul-de-sac literally means "bottom of a bag"? Its french so, there you go. Anyway, we had great neighbors, but sometimes you wished your house didn't face everybody's.

Ha ha- we think alike. We did have our own lemonade stand the next day! The other mom wasn't home, though, so she missed the festivities. Point is, I did it for my little girl, not to P.O. the neighbor.
But yes, I HATE living in a culdesac. We have a 2 year plan to get the heck outta here!

They may have done it on purpose.
I couldn't say.
Seems not kind to do to a child.
Especially since they knew she wanted
to be involved.

Some people just do not think do they?why could they have not included your daughter,it was thoughtless.But that is the price we pay for living in a close neighbourhood,the houses are crammed in and the neighbours all get to know one an others business.But I do not mind if it is the adults who are fighting and arguing,but when they take there spite out on the kids,its sad.It is immature,but they get kicks from it,its just life,ever watched that television programme.the Neighbours from hell?
