With menopause I mean I know it just started but how long does it last? I can not handle the heat, then I'm cold,I can cry at the drop of a hat for no apparent reason or something that would never bother me before I can be happy one minute and sad the next.I would rather just be by myself instead of with family or friends,so please tell me when will it be over.Have you had any of these things happen to you? Any remeidies other than pills? HELP!

Sorry but pills are the only thing that got me through the tough times with menopause.. I did finally have to go and get a RX for nerve pills and had to take the strongest ones possible.. It was a very miserable time in my life, but at the same time as I was going through menopause, I lost my job of 17 years and had a small falling out with my family and had to be at home with my 8 yr old who had Tourettes Syndrome.. I do not mean it in a bad way being home with him, but I was with him more and noticed how his TS was bothering him and it almost drove me crazy.. There was nothing that I could do to help him nor to help myself, so it was a very hard time for me as I had always been in control of most of my life and now my life was falling apart and I was helpless to do anything about it.. I do hope you get through it safe and sound because you will live to laugh about it, even if times are rough and you are not sure that you will... Good Luck and Hurry through it, there is life on the other side.. Donna

Well I have started a herb and so far it seems to be helping but it is about time for all the moodyness to start so I will see it usually comes on at the first of the month around when my period use to be,I hope I dont have to take pills but if I do I guess I will have to deal with it. I have never heard of Tourettes Syndrome but I hope your son is doing ok and I hope you have found another job.I have been at mine for 11 yrs. and dont know what I would do if I lost it.You have a great night.

Thanks for the nice words, I do appreciate them.. I hope your herbs are working well for you.. TS is a neuro muscular syndrome with which you have tics, or twitches, some downright bad and they can go on constantly.. Some people make noises or bark like dogs, or use curse words and they can't stop it, it isn't always controllable even with medications.. He had the tics which effected his muscles and he had many movements which he couldn't control.. He was on so many anti-psychotic meds for years and it was the only thing that controlled it, but it caused so much weight gain.. He was picked on, made fun of and almost tortured in school, but he also had quite a few good friends, in school and in our neighborhood, he did graduate, he went on to college, he has become the deacon in his church and married last December.. He did, also, when he married, quit his medication, (his decision) and lost 70 lbs in 3 months.. He is now a hyper active young man, but I can still see a little bit of the TS, it isn't completely gone.. He went through hell going through school but became a much better man for it.. Sorry about being so talkative, but it still bothers me so much when I think of what he had to endure while growing up..
