Ordering online

Today we had sad family news so I decided to give the wife a break from cooking dinner and order a pizza online. I went to the website and ordered a large meat lovers pizza and ten chicken wings. These cost me almost thirty dollars! Yikes! Twice what I normally pay at the pizza place I usually call my order in to. The email verification they sent me showed the order correctly. Too bad the pizza shop didn't read it LOL What I got was a large pepperoni pizza (although their idea of large and mine are not the same) and the wings. I don't think I'll be ordering online from these folks again. Anybody else order pizza online? Do they get the order correct?

Let me get this straight...you wanted a pizza and you told your loving partner and he ordered the pizza and chicken wings too...Is that how that works? You are so incredibly lucky to have a wonderful partner like that guy!

I would be calling the place up for my refund. You should get what you pay for! I never order online like that. I sometimes phone an order in and then go pick it up. It makes the wait time very short, and pizza is usually done when I get there.

I am sure it was a simple error, maybe because on Saturdays the pizza places are really busy around here. I will probably try it again one of these days :)

I have ordered online before too from Pizza Hut and Papa Johns. If I were you I would complain to them that they delivered the wrong pizza. I know Meat Lovers is more expensive than Pepperoni. They will give you a credit for your next order. I mean you work hard to earn your money and you should get what you pay for! I always complain when I don't get what I paid for. They are not giving you something, you paid for a particular product or item. And yes, they screw up my order lots of times. I hate mushrooms and sometimes they forget to make it minus the mushrooms and deliver it that way. I make them make me a new pizza. As far as I'm concerned once there are mushrooms on it the whole pizza is ruined. I don't like them, they taste nasty and the taste of them stays there even after they are removed. Sorry, I got on a rant about the mushrooms, but yes if I were you I would call them up and get the credit for next order.

I don't blame you for the rant, I don't like mushrooms either. they are funny tasting and slimy LOL

I have never ordered online yet, there is a place near us that does it but they are not a very good place and so I will not do it from there! We have a favourite place where we order from on the phone, and they ALWAYS mess the order up, usually it is mine that gets messed up. Messed up in that it never even turns up!

If they always mess up your order then it is time to find a new place, one that likes you :)

I have bought pizza through Pizza Hut and Papa Johns before, no problems with them getting the order correct. I have had problem with calling it in. The prices are the same BUT if you call the order in, you find out about specials that particular pizza location is offering that may not be available online or you didn't select the coupon before ordering.

we ordered online once from pizza hut. they got our order correct. the only thing that bummed me out was i couldn't get a coupon to work. my daughter got these Book It rewards from school that gets her a free personal pan pizza. i was going to use it but it kept saying that the code wasn't right. other than that it went ok.

Back to the discussion, I once ordered online but its a modem 56k 3com card and not Pizza. They got it right and send me the said device. But I never order online again because my aunt told me that its not safe to order online and she got mad because I used her crredit card lol.

Hi friend, before I used it I never expected that my aunt will get mad of me, because I believe buying online is safe. The only un-safe is if you are not reading what company you are buying from or if the buyer don't know what his doing. Only those ignorant people is not safe lol.

I ordered pizza online for the first time last month. I had some coupons from Domino's and used one to order some small pizzas. They got the order correct. I prefer to order from a local pizzeria, though. It doesn't have online ordering, but its large pizzas are truly large (18 inches) for about the same price as the national chains' large pizzas, and it offers free delivery.

I usually use a local place myself. They know me well over there and know how to find my back house and everything. Plus they give me great service because I always give the guy a good tip :)

fwidman that stunk for sure. I have never ordered pizza on line but I do order my groceries on line and every once in awhile the person who puts the orders together really goofs even though the sheet I get from the delivery guy is correct. once they left out my meat but sent two containers of strawberries instead of one and about a dozen cupcakes that I had never ordered and a large container of fresh cut melon that I had not ordered so am wondering whose order was missing the extra strawberries and the cupcakes and the large container of fresh cut melon from their order? And there was no way for me to send these things back. wow, they make some big errors. lol.

My family orders pizza from Papa Johns online. And we haven't had any problems with it, ordering wise. I'm not even sure what other pizza joints allow orders to be taken online. Now I have to look it up. And I've never asked how much the pizza cost while someone placed the order. Twice as much online seems terrible.

It wasn't Papa Johns, it was Pizza Hut. They are not the cheapest place in town to get a pizza, even offline. But, live and learn time for me :)

Me and fiance have ordered pizza online from Pizza Hut, because we had a coupon for an online special,it was a major pain filling out the form, and then having to fill out the name and address crap, and we had to enter in three different usernames before we found one that was not already in use,and then we had to call to switch our bread sticks and cinnamon sticks to cheese sticks, because there was no place on the dang form to change them, but when we got to pizza hut to pick it up,they got the order right,so I do not know if I will order pizza online again or not, even though I saw my cousins boyfriend order pizza online when me and my fiance went to visit them, and he did not seem to have any problems ,with ordering pizza online from Papa John's,and they got it right,it is still a lot of work, and maybe next time we will try ordering online from Papa John's and see if it is any easier.

The forms that they give you on these sites is a royal pain, I agree. And they sometimes are so confusing you wonder if it is worth the hassle LOL I think it gets easier the next time you go there, maybe your cousins boyfriend had used that site before, that's why he had no problem :)

Is a large pepperoni (medium) the same cost as a meat lovers? Do they not show you a menu an a price list on line? Is it possible they gave you a cheaper pizza and sold the larger one for cash and pocketed the difference?

I was almost burned by those online pizza ordering people too! A delivery person showed up and wanted to charge us nearly thirty dollars when our online total was only $18. Apparently the delivery person got our order mixed up with someone else. They went back to their car and checked the invoice, came back and apologized! Close call! I rarely order online anymore. But when I do, they usually get the total right. Most times, we still end up buying two medium pizzas, cheese bread sticks and a Pepsi, but the total is around $26! Not including tip. That's too much for a family of three, when only one person actually gets to eat any of the food! P.S. My spouse can't eat pizza due to health concerns and my daughter turns her nose up at pizza.

Our daughter loves pizza, but I notice the past year or so she has a habit of picking away whatever meat topping is on it. She's not going vegetarian, she just developed that strange habit LOL

We don't have a place that accepts online ordering so I have not been able to try it. I like to talk to an actual person when I order so they can read the order back and make sure it is correct.

I think the cost of ordering pizza like everything else has gone up substantially. Here in a rural area I dont really have the option to order pizza untless I want to drive twenty minutes which kind of defeats the purpose, I'm sure I'd be paying big money if I was ordering online.

With the price of gasoline these days, a twenty minute drive just for pizza would be kid of a waste. It would be okay if you were driving those twenty minutes to complete some other business as well.

I am sorry about the sad family news and I hope in time everything will be okay. No , I have never orderd pizza online because I have heard they mess up orders a lot more like that. My brother orders from Papa Johns online a buch of times and everything was smooth sailing . I dont really like teh phone , so maybe I should give this a try , I just dont know if any shops that are by me do that.

Thanks for the kind thoughts :) I guess the best thing to do is go to the pizza website and see if there is a place that is near enough to you that you can order online.
