Strong typhoon

Philippines

Ome of the strong typhoons for this year just hit land.FRANK, with gusty winds of 150 kph, its hitting Manila hard. I was jamming with my friends and officemates having some barbeque, spaghetti, cake and some beers. While scanning the songlist of the videoke machine, strong winds started blowing hard, hitting everything along the way. From our vantage point, we could see the coconut tree sway hard as if dancing to heavy metal tunes. Typhoons have really gone stronger.

yes, i'm so worried because i,m hearing the loud noise of the roof of our neighbor that anytime it can be blown by the wind. also the transformer of our brgy exploded that the electricity went off. i'm also worried cause there are still few of you staying in the place where we had our despedida, i was wondering if all of you went home safely. i was also kinda guilty cause i'm aware your wives and husbands are worried because of coming home late or early in the morn with the heavy typhoon hitting our country. i just hope that only few will be affected. anyway thanks a lot for the good times and farewell party.

Nothing to worry about ma'am, I arrived home safe and hopefully so with the others. We were really enjoying ourselves and didn't know that the typhoon is already here. lol. Well, my wife was worried coz i wasn't able to inform her bout the extension but I assured her that we were about to pack up when the storm arrived and there's nothing we can do but wait.

You should be very guilty! your the host of the party and being RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH is your obligation, you should know your time limit. Holding a party for the whole night is enough but making it overnight,is not enough taking into consideration your friends are no more singles they have families, wives and husbands.

Hi there Watarikenji! How are you now that Frank is on the way out of our country? I do hope that you are in safe condition despite the storm. I wasn't able to really enjoy my Sunday because it's been raining almost the whole day.

In our place, some of the streets are flooded and I also stayed home. It's still raining now and I guess classes are suspended tomorrow.

Yea. It's really bad. It's horrible that all these natural disasters are happening. This year is a year of natural disasters. I sincerely pray that the second half of 2008 will be better.

Yes indeed this is one of the worst times this year...imagine, prices of basic commodities, transportation, gasoline, even pandesal have been soaring all through the past few weeks and now this typhoon. I'm really sorry for our fellow filipinos. Such trying times...to think every year ever since I can remember, we've been having issues with flooded streets and clogged sewerage and yet nothing seemed to have been done about it. Nothing changed. It has even gone worse. Whereas before floods were only 3 feet high, now it went as high as 6 feet. Hope one day we'll still be alive to see our streets flood-free. Wishful thingking? Good-luck to us all!!

But compared to the other regions, it's been awhile since Manila had such a storm. Good thing it's calmed down now though.
