Help with my task bar please

Hi, I was wanting to get some help with removing programs from starting up in my task bar like google desktop, ati catalyst control center, etc. I know this takes up alot of my ram by starting up when I turn on the computer. no matter what I have trid, I cannot remove them from starting up in the task bar. All of your help is very much appreciated.

Follow the steps
Start---------run---------type msconfig
A window will open then goto startup there and remove whatever you want.

what ralph said is the best way to remove the programs running from startup.
You should be careful not to remove programs which are useful to you. You can download some freewares also for managing the startup programs.
go to softpedia and do a search for startup programs.
