Well, different places have different customs, even we're in the same province. In my hometown, bride and bridegroom get up very early, dress up in their own homes. Then the bridegroom will come and pick up the bride, he has to give red small envelopes which contains money, different amounts to give different people, the relatives and friends who guard the door beforing pick up the bride, a matron of the honor and also the safeguard of the living community and stragers who stop the car if they find it's a wedding car. Just to boost the high spirit of happiness. After that they will take photos inside and outside doors in the afternoon. Banquets or delicious dinner will be held in the evening, hundreds of people gather together to celebrate, usually 20-30talbes, each table 10 persons. That's not very big, the scale has something to do with the colleagues, friends and relatives of both bride and bridegroom. Wow, lots to say. Let's share yours first **Enjoy life~~**

In ways it seems that your country's wedding ceremony and my countries wedding ceremony are the same. However, in America the Groom of the bride and the bride herself will meet at the location of the marriage. I have heard of the groom picking up the bride in a limousine but I have not heard of this very often. We usually have the wedding ceremony and then the reception. The reception is where the bride and groom cut the cake and where toasts are given in good wealth to the marriage. It is usually considered bad luck to see a lady in her marriage gown before the marriage, at least in reference to the groom. There is also Something borrowed, something blue, something old, something new. These things are usually given by the mothers or grandmothers of the bride and groom. The bride is the one that wears these items, as the groom usually just wears a tux. My fiance and my wedding will be quite different. We will be arriving to the wedding at the same time and will see one another in our wedding attire. Have a Great day.

It is still considered bad luck in our country to see the bride before the wedding. We also go sepeartely atleast we used to. The values of a marriage are not being followed very much anymore, like dowry. I think Dowry faded away with arranged marriages. Arranged marriages are still going on in your country? Have a Great day.

Arranged wedding is not that common nowadays, only in some minority i guess. But they didn't fade away completely, you can still find some reflection of this kind of marriage. Back to the days when my father and mother married, arranged weddding was common and those who married by free love were considered to be fashion.

Hey, traditional Chinese wedding ceremony is different. Bride sat on a sedan, groom on the back of a horse. And they are not allowed to meet before marriage. So they two couldn't know who their spouse is until the wedding day. I think Chinese are fond of having a western ceremony, i can judge from their attire. So that's why you say the ceremony in your country is the same as that of mine. Hope you and your fiance have a wonderful wedding ceremony and enjoy lives. Lynette
