I eat dinner together with my family. It has been like that for many years, We also used to eat breakfest together, but that went out of style 6 years ago. Nowdays its hard to be together even at dinner time. Everyone seems to working so hard that they don't have the time to come eat at the same time. I personally love to eat with my family, and would never want to give that up. It is nice to chat about what happend in the day, and other important things. It closens us a lot. So, do you? I wonder if people here eat together with your family, in the same table, at the same time. I believe if you eat together, you eat together dinner, am i right? Or maybe it is supper? or maybe you just like to eat breakfest together? Which is it or is it none? Do you like to eat alone? Or maybe everyone is busy doing something?

We try our best to eat dinner at the table all together every day. We don't always make it and I'm not even always fond of it cuz the kids are not always pleasant but my adult daughter thinks [and I do agree] that it helps family unity and the kids are still young, all three are under 9 years old so, its for the best.

It is nice to eat with your family. Sometimes kids can be troublesome. I remember myself when I was younger, I didn't want to come since I might have been playing, and then i was angry and so. The kids will learn :)

I think modern schedules are such that having family time is exceedingly rare. I live with an aunt, grandmother, uncle and cousin and all of us have contrasting schedules. My cousin needs to goto school by 7.30 so eats breakfast at about 6 plus, my Aunt and Grandma eat at about 5.30 and I eat at about 8.30. However, I work during the day so I come home late at night so I eat about 8pm while my aunt and Grandmother would have eaten about 6ish in the evening. However, there are sepcial meals where we make it a point to eat together. Grandma's birthday and Chinese New Year are two such occasions. When I visit my mother in Germany, she makes it a point that the whole family sits down to eat together, and its the same situation when I go to visit my Dad in Thailand. So although I guess I don't always sit down together with my family, there are times when you have to make a point of sitting down and having a meal with them. It's important to have family time once in a while.

Timing can be hard yes. Our morning eating times are too different so that is impossible to eat together. Dinner is only one possible for us. We used to eat it at 4pm, but my mother works long now and comes home after 5pm, so we now eat at about 5pm, so everyone can be there, but I understand you work days and it's not possible, but it is good you come together at times, and eat together. We also have our own "celebrations" when most of my relatives eat together.

Yes. We often eat together. However, there are also times that I eat alone. These are times when I'm very busy with my work. I really love to eat with my family because we get to bond together. We talked a lot of things. Sometimes we laugh at jokes.
