I have two young children and I would learn photography to save money and because the kids have those special moments that you can't catch at a studio. So I was wondering is this something I could learn on my own?

With all of the digital technology that is out right now, learning photography is very simple. You don't really need to learn as much as you used to have to learn to take a good photo. The best tool to learning good photography will be the user manual that comes with your camera. Anything else you need to know you can look up on the internet. I have a lot of luck trying to learn photography tricks from YouTube.

IMO,the Digital Camera is what photography has been waiting for all these Years! Instead of maybe wasting an entire film for one good shot (or forgetting to put film in the camera in the first place!) You can choose the photo that pleases You most and print it off.. To Learn,Just take many photos of Your Family or other subjects, keep those You like, delete those You don't,and keep note of WHY they worked,or didn't.. Composition,Style, and Patience are attributes of a Photographer.work on Yours! If you want to learn more, maybe look up a local Camera club..good Luck!

Photography is not at all hard to learn, i'm sure you could do it. If you are serious about it though it can be quite expensive. It depends on if you just want to take snapshots of your life or pursue it as a real hobby. You could check out the books in your local library or search for tutorials on the internet to get you started. I take tons of photographs of my three-year-old niece and two-year-old nephew. It's definitely really rewarding taking the pictures yourself. Good luck :)

Of course you can learn it by yourself.I don't think photography is hard to learn, the development of the digital technology now makes the operation of the photographic equipments rather simplely.Photograghy is no longer a professional photographer's patent and you are no longer need to play with these complex films.Just buy some related materials from bookstore and enquiry related information from Internet, that just enough.
