I don't know to be honest. I have often wondered if God forgives us why are we still being punished for adam and eves mistakes. I didn't eat the apple and I didn't try to get others to eat the apple. But I have in my life time been an instigator so I might have tried to get him to eat the apple if I had been eve.

Did you ever think Eve was bored so she fed Adam the apple for something exciting to happen?

No I really don't think so. I think we usually always want what we can not have. Therefore we looks for ways to either get it or justify us trying to have it. She probably figured if he did it first it would justify her doing it as well. Just my thoughts.

I have two ideals. One, He was a first time parent and He thought that just saying " Don't touch that" would work so he added the tree. Or it was a trap. It was a test and we failed.

I think that God put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the garden as well as the tree of life to give them a choice. Think about what would have happened if Eve chose to eat the fruit from the tree of life. There wouldn't be all the trouble that we have today.

i think that story is a metaphor about trust and respect of the words of your elders. god said don't touch, adam and eve didn't listen, bad things happened. its like when your little and your parents say don't touch the stove, and you touch it anyway just to find out why not, and you end up with a burn. mom says i told you so, and you realize you should have just listened and not touched the stove.

It was just put to test our great father and great mother for their will and determination. But the Satan succeeded in tempting them to eat that fruit.Satan came to them in the shape of a monk and made false promises to get them out of that place.

Hi ruth, I think the story is a myth. It has to be a human story because only man could come up with a story like that. Give it some thought and you'll see what I mean. Blessings.
