I saw him tonight and he's doing better than I expected but still. He's trying to walk but the signals in his brain aren't making it to his left side and he keeps falling over. I think and hope it's a matter of him retraining his brain once again and then he'll be ok. He was kneeding with one paw as I was petting and talking to him and looks up to look us in the eye AND trying to walk so there is hope. I'm going to think positive on him say, he's going to make it. Hopefully he will. It may be quite a while before he gets better but he's going to make it.

Here's hoping and praying for continued recovery for your dear cat. In fact, it was 2 years ago tomorrow (6/23) that my Angel was struck and killed by a car!!! I'm only thankful that it was a quick blow to the head, and I'm sure he didn't know what hit him. But it was devastating to me! I CRIED FOR DAYS! I have his ashes on my hallway shelf now, in a lovely ceramic urn in the figure of a cat peacefully sleeping on a rock. It was even painted to look like Angel, right down to his blue collar! I miss him SO Much! He was only 4 years old.

Bless your heart!! I know just how you feel too!! I had a beloved cat, named Kisses. She gave me kisses all the time so it fit her perfectly. We lived in Texas and she always stayed near the house and never went to the road out front. She did from the side from time to time but never out front. (Corner lot) One night she decided to cross from the front and got hit. It just about killed me! She was my baby girl and gosh I still miss her to this day and it's been almost 7 years ago. Here's a link to the tribute that I made of her. Grab some tissues! http://www.in-memory-of-pets.com/personaltribute.php?ID=30637

Yes... I know of that wonderful website, "In Memory..." I have posted there, too, about Angel!!! The animal "psychic" Sonja Fitzpatrick always says, "We don't ever get over losing our loved ones, we simply get used to them not being here." Regardless of her psychic abilities... she is absolutely right on this one.

Thanks for the update on Bobo, and although he is still having problems with signals from his brain, the signs are good. It might take him a little while to get everything back working again, but with your TLC, I know he will make a complete recovery. Keep thinking positive thoughts Cats!

Awww... well thanks for caring!! I've got him now and he's doing pretty good for the most part. He's reconizing me a lot better than before whereas he was not exactly sure who I was but he knows now! lol He's still a bit wobbly on his feet but he's trying. Right now he's with me at my mom's so I can take care of them both. He's confused because he's not at home but content as long as he's with me.

Hi Polly! Hubby called the vet this morning and they say he's doing even better!! I'm excited and can't wait to see him! He still can't get his hind legs going right just yet but we'll work on it together and hopefully he'll get it right. I'm taking him with me to my parents so I can care for him there and care for my mom together instead of running back and forth between the two places for gas is too darn high to afford making such trips.

I am so happy for you that Bobo is doing better and you can bring him home. I suppose with the brain injury its almost like having a sroke, The brain has to heal and then relearn some things. I do hope that he fully recovers. I said a prayer for him and thought of him when I first woke up. My Snickers was in my bed cuddling with me this morning and I thought of your little guy.

Thank you!! Hubby called the vet this morning and he's doing even better!! Yippee!! I'm going to get him and take him with me to my parents so I can care for him and my mom at the same time. Gas is just too darned high to afford going back and forth between my house and theirs.

Thank you whiteheather. Where there's life there's always hope, right? He's doing even better today when hubby called the vets office. I'm going to pick him up today and take him with me to my parents so I can keep an eye on him and take care of mom too.

Well thank you for caring!! That's very sweet of you!! I think he'll be ok. He's much more alert than he was and he reconizes me now whereas before he knew me but didn't know where exactly. He's wobbly on his feet but eventually he'll learn to walk again. I had to hold him up so he could do both jobs in the litter box and gosh what a mess he made! lol That's ok, he has his mommy to clean it up. He's my baby and I'm so glad to have him still!

well the important thing is he's alive and functioning. possibly needs to go to rehab but it'll take some time. if he can respond its only a matter of days before he has some movement even if its only twitching. as long as there is a response in the left side be it pain or a moving eye he should be okay, because it wouldnt mean brain damage. try prodding him softly or stroking his leg. if he reacts then you shouldnt worry to much...if not well then...dont give up keep trying. i'm sure he'll be better soon...

That's what I plan on doing, stroking his legs in hopes to reconnect it with his brain and kind of help retrain him to walk again. I'm taking him with me to my parents so I can care for him and my mom while there instead of running back and forth for the gas prices are too expensive.
