I love cooking, my partner hasnt disliked any of the meals I've made and introduced him to he always compliments my cooking and I'm hoping it stays that way lol, I mainly do all the cooking, sometimes my partner will cook for me to show his appreciation its nice to relax and have a meal made once in a while, he is a great cook thank god! hehe I wouldnt know what to say to someone if I didnt like their cooking I would'nt want to lie and pretend I enjoyed the meal but how are you suppose to tell the truth as it would most likely hurt their feelings... so is your partner a good cook? what would you say to someone if you didnt like their cooking? maybe you've been in a situation where you've told someone you disliked their cooking?

I love to cook and do cook most meals. My hubby does cook every now and then. If he or me find something that either didn't turn out well or we find we didn't like it for some reason, we are very honest, but in a polite way. Example: Something I cook often, one night for some reason it flopped. My hubby said, "Baby, I don't wont to hurt your feelings, but this has too much this or this don't taste as good as normal, check it and see what you think." There have been a few times we have been some where and they couldn't cook!!!!!!!! We just say that we really wasn't hungry and not eat till we get home. Or if family member, sometimes we say something polite or do the same if we were at a friends house and say we really are not hungry and apologize.

hi kittenmc, I've never been able to bring myself to tell someone I dont like their cooking, although it doesnt mean I havnt thought it to myself hehe, I just wouldnt know what to say an how to say it, like I was offered over at my aunts for dinner one night and she made this really plain pasta dish, the first mouth full I took I thought to myself Im really not going to enjoy this, but still I tried eating it taking very small mouth fulls eating very slowly trying to force it down, I was like picking at my food lol but then I was asked 'arent you hungry' I was like 'not really, havnt felt too hungry lately' she then said to me 'just eat what you can' so I took like two more small mouth fulls and did the whole 'whew' like I was full lol and said 'I'm done'. Its good you and your husband can be honest with eachother without hurting eachothers feelings 8) thanks for sharing!

Since I do the majority of the cooking, and always have, I would never tell someone who was kind enough to cook for me that I didn't like what they made. And, I used to find in this position fairly often because, at my previous job, I had a staff of over 30 young people, most of them students whose families were originally from another country, and they would periodically bring in something they or their mother made. We had pot luck meetings a few times each year and I had to try everything in order to avoid hurting any feelings. To this day I can't tell you what some of the things I ate were! My husband is a great cook. He used to cook more than he does now but he's still a better cook than I am.

Yeah.My wife is good cook.In fact yesterday, she cooked spaghetti and the taste was really good, and you know what only corned beef and spaghetti sauce are the ingredients. I love also the graham cake that she does every time with mango on the top.

hmmm very interesting, when I cook pasta dishes and using meat I usually make meatballs to cook through the sauce and also gravy beef, I've also tried chicken and steak, but never corned beef, never even thought of it as I've only ever boiled the corned beef on the stove for several hours with the vinegar, herbs and garlic, must try it with the sauce one day. heard of graham cake somewhere before? not sure what sort of cake it is and what flavour it holds.. is it like a sponge cake of some kind? thankyou for your reply

He's okay, but not great. I would never lie about it though. If he makes something that tastes nice, I will tell him, but if it tastes bad, I will tell him that too!
